20 April 2006Day 5 and task 4 have been completed, again with another beautiful Florida day... All but one rigid made it to goal and a good percentage of the Flexie's completed the task... We used the diagonal runway for launch and the gaggle formed up basically over Quest waiting for their start windows...
At the pilot meeting this morning all the tug drivers were asked to come up front and received not only a standing ovation, but a beautiful Comp pullover... It was a very nice gesture... Everyone deserves the credit however, because without the organizers and the super ground crews none of it would be possible... It is indeed fun to be part of such a well oiled machine which of course includes all the competitors...
Lets see, the picture of the day... Could it possibly be the Tug of the future ??? It's called an Air Cam and dropped in for a short visit the other day... You never know what you will see show up at Quest...
As I type this, day 6 is about to begin... Looks like it will be another great day... Gotta run, Take care and have fun...
